Michael P. Castore is an attorney in Ansell Grimm & Aaron’s Zoning & Land use practice. His work primarily focuses on shepherding residential and commercial real estate projects through the Municipal, County and State Land Use and Zoning approval process. This includes approvals for subdivisions, variances and major site plans.
Before attending law school, Mr. Castore, a Monmouth County native, worked as an associate project coordinator for Philosophy IB, a boutique management consulting firm. He graduated cum laude from Rutgers University with a BS in Environmental Policy, Institutions, and Behaviors and a minor in Environmental and Business Economics. He also graduated cum laude from Pace Law School where he receiving his J.D. with a concentration in Real Estate and Land Use as well as an Environmental Certificate. While in law school, he worked as a summer associate for the Land Use Law Center for Sustainable Development, as a legal intern for the Town of Bedford, NY and as a summer associate with the land use litigation firm Zarin & Steinmetz. Mr. Castore also wrote for, and served as a staff writer and senior editor with, the American Planning Association’s Planning and Law Division Newsletter; and as the acquisitions’ editor for Pace Environmental Law Review.
Mr. Castore is a member of the American Planning Association, the New York State Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey.
