Tara K. Walsh is an associate with the Firm. Her practice is devoted to the areas of criminal and municipal court defense. Ms. Walsh received her B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science and Public Relations from Syracuse University in 2007. She received her J.D. from New York Law School in 2010.
While attending Syracuse University, Ms. Walsh was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key International honor societies. She was also the recipient of a Syracuse University Chancellor Scholarship and was named a Dean’s Scholar for each semester of attendance. Ms. Walsh was active in her college community, serving as a member of the Recruitment Board and Events Co-Chair for the Alpha Chi Omega women’s fraternity, performing in the University’s only student-run theater organization and advocating on behalf of the Vera House, a center for local victims of domestic and sexual violence.
Following law school, Ms. Walsh served as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas F. Scully, Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court Criminal Division, Monmouth County. During her clerkship, Ms. Walsh handled a variety of criminal matters including drug court appeals, municipal appeals, suppressions, violations of probation and petitions for post-conviction relief.
Ms. Walsh is admitted to practice in New York, as well as New Jersey. She is a member of the Inns of Court, the New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association and the Monmouth County Bar Association.
