The Honorable Raymond A. Hayser, retired Judge of the Tax Court of New Jersey, returns of counsel to the firm after a judicial tenure of nearly eighteen years.  He will be assisting in the Matrimonial, Land Use/Zoning, Municipal Law and Tax Appeals departments.

In addition to serving as Tax Court Judge, Judge Hayser also served in the Superior Court Law Division, Civil and Special Civil Parts and the Chancery Division, Family and General Equity Parts in Monmouth County, and the Superior Court, Law Division, Civil and Criminal Parts and the Chancery Division, Family Part in Mercer County.  He is the author of a number of reported opinions in land use, taxation, constitutional law and family law, and has lectured on these subjects.

He previously received a magna cum laude Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from St. Peter’s College and a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law.  Judge Hayser served as Law Clerk to the Hon. Samuel A. Schneiderman, J.C.C.  He has been a member of the Hudson and Monmouth Bar Associations and the New Jersey Institute of Municipal Attorneys. His other affiliations include Trustee Emeritus, St. Peter’s College Alumni Association, and Director Emeritus, Board of Directors, United States and Archdiocese of Newark Catholic Youth Organization.

Judge Hayser previously served as First Assistant and Acting Corporation Counsel of Jersey City, Director of Law of the Township of Dover, Ocean County, Municipal Attorney and Associate Municipal Attorney:  Borough of Belmar, Township of Colts Neck, Borough of Englishtown, Township of Hazlet, Township of Howell, Township of Manalapan, Township of Marlboro, Township of Millstone and Township of Ocean (Monmouth County), as well as various municipalities and municipal boards.
