Stacey Patterson, Esq. will serve as a panel member in a roundtable luncheon discussion with property managers and homeowners, answering legal questions affecting New York community associations, as presented by the attendees. This event is hosted by the Community Associations Institute Hudson Valley. Patterson leads Community Associations Institute – Hudson Valley Roundtable Discussion

Stacey Patterson, an attorney in AGA’s Community Association Practice Group led a roundtable discussion on behalf of Community Associations Institute (“CAI”) – Hudson Valley which took place in Hillburn, New York on September 15th.

The discussion was attended by various professionals in the Hudson Valley community association industry and board members from New York condominium associations and HOAs. Board members and managers had the opportunity to ask Ms. Patterson legal questions including questions surrounding ADA compliance, unit owner access to community documents, common element maintenance and modifications and governing document interpretation.

AGA attorneys take the field to support Make-A-Wish Foundation

Ansell Grimm & Aaron P.C. Community Association Practice Group attorneys Lysa Bergenfeld and Stacey Patterson teamed with Erika Berfumo from Certa Pro Painters, Valentine Valdman from Station Square, Ray Ambrosino and Brad Memoli from Garden State Securities, Caesar Mistretta from Hub International Insurance Brokers, and Bob Rogers and Dawn Ruggiero from First Service Residential at Community Association Institute’s 2nd Annual Olympics, at Thompson Park in Monroe. Proceeds from the July 20 event are donated to the Make-a-Wish Foundation which arranges experiences for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Patterson participating on panel for Hudson Valley CAI

Stacey Patterson, Counsel in Ansell Grimm & Aaron’s Community Association Practice group, will be a panel speaker at the Hudson Valley Chapter of Community Associations Institute’s Managers Lunch on March 16 at Cosimo’s On Union, New Windsor, New York.

David Spector, Senior Vice President with Extell Management Services Inc., a company that manages the most highly-valued residential building in New York City — One57, will be the special guest speaker.

The lunch will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with the first half hour reserved for networking.

There is no charge for this event, however registration is limited to managers and HV-CAI sponsors only.

Stacey Patterson a featured speaker for CAI of Hudson Valley at roundtable

On January 21, 2016, Stacey Patterson was a featured speaker at the Community Associations Institute of Hudson Valley’s Round Table Seminar in New Windsor NY. Ms. Patterson, among other Hudson Valley community association industry experts, answered questions from property managers, board members and owners. Participants were able to obtain continuing education credits for their attendance.

Ms. Patterson serves as counsel with the firm in the Community Association Practice Group of Ansell Grimm & Aaron PC. Earlier this month, Ms. Patterson, responded to a question from a Montclair, New Jersey apartment resident, for the December 6,2015 edition of the weekly “Ask Real Estate,” column, published in the Sunday New York Times. Ms. Patterson addressed a landlord’s obligations to its tenants, under the warranty of habitability in the Garden State. Ms. Patterson advised that a New Jersey landlord must provide residents with functioning essential utilities (i.e. plumbing) at all times. Ms. Patterson provided various options for tenants who find themselves in a situation where a landlord is failing to make repairs in a timely manner.

For more than fifteen years, Ms. Patterson, has represented planned communities in both litigation and government transactional matters. She focuses her practices on general representation of cooperatives, condominiums and homeowners associations in New York and New Jersey.
