Representative Matters

  • Represented 50% owner of a multimillion-dollar plumbing business in dispute with co-owner in hotly contested litigation over ownership and control of company and purchase value of respective interests. Just prior to trial commencing, we were able to effectuate our client’s purchase of the co-owner’s interests on terms favorable to our client and remove the partner from the business.
  • Represented a beach club in negotiations with county government over the value of a partial permanent and temporary taking of the club’s property as part of a road-widening and bridge-construction project. We negotiated a favorable payment to the club prior to litigation being commenced and significant fees being incurred.
  • Represented the purchaser of a multimillion-dollar house in dispute with a seller who attempted to improperly cancel the contract and sell to a third party who filed litigation to stop the sale to our client. We successfully negotiated a resolution that extricated our client from the litigation and allowed him to purchase the property.
  • Represented a national operator of airport terminals in litigation with the city of Newark over the method of issuing and the number of liquor licenses issued. We successfully obtained conversion of temporary permits to special concessionaire permit for client, effectively removing the city from licensing in airport terminal.
  • Represented a property owner in hotly contested dispute over easement rights with their neighbor. We were able to effectuate a settlement that included modifying the easement, as well as payment to our client.
  • Represented 50% owner of a limited liability company that owned a rental property. Upon the filing of suit, we were able to effectuate the buyout of our client’s interest for full value sought by our client.
