Jay B. Feldman, Esq., an associate with Ansell Grimm & Aaron, P.C., has been appointed Vice Chair of the Supreme Court’s District III-B Fee Arbitration Committee. Feldman was originally appointed to the committee by the Supreme Court of New Jersey in 2013.
Fred Raffetto marked the milestone of turning 50 with a memorable feat, completing the NYC Marathon on Sunday.
On Sunday, Ansell Grimm & Aaron partner Fred Raffetto celebrated turning 50 in style by completing the NYC Marathon. “Never in a million years did I ever think that I would run a marathon, nor did I ever have any interest or desire to do so,” Raffetto told the Asbury Park Sun prior to taking on the race. “This is going to take all that I have in me, and then some. It is the biggest challenge of my life, and I am ready to tackle it.”
In addition to marking a personal milestone, Raffetto used the race to raise money through Team For Kids, New York Road Runners’ Youth and Community Services program. The funds they raise provide free or low-cost health and fitness programs to kids who would otherwise have little or no access to regular physical activity.
Pam Mulligan, attorney in Ansell Grimm & Aaron’s Princeton office, will be the featured guest on 920AM, The Voice on Sunday, Nov. 1. Ms. Mulligan will discuss New Jersey foreclosures including a look at recent statistics, review of the New Jersey foreclosure process, the difference between commercial and residential foreclosures and avenues that banks may take other than foreclosure.

Pamela A. Mulligan, Esquire was recently appointed to the Executive Committee of the Syracuse University Alumni Association (“SUAA”) Board of Directors as Philanthropy Chair. The SUAA serves the Syracuse University (the “University”) global community. The Board of Directors of the SUAA guides the association in establishing priorities for alumni relations consistent with University goals. The SUAA Board of Directors serves a mission-critical role by providing strategic direction, resources, and professional expertise to carry out the University’s advancement objectives. Ms. Mulligan was formerly President of the local Syracuse University Central New Jersey Alumni Club for seven years and served as a general member of the SUAA Board of Directors for one year prior to her appointment to the Executive Committee. Ms. Mulligan is currently an Alumni Admissions Representative for the University and serves on the local board of the Central New Jersey Alumni Club as Immediate Past President.

On October 1, 2015, Richard Linderman presented a program to several property managers and board members regarding the impact of the Fair Housing Act upon community associations. The property managers were able to obtain educational credit through the Community Associations Institute’s Pennsylvania/Delaware Valley Chapter. Mr. Linderman’s presentation focused on avoiding litigation and helping condominium boards deal with requests for reasonable accommodations and modifications under the Fair Housing Act.

On October 8, 2015, Pam Mulligan presented to a group of builders from the Builders League of South Jersey on the process of foreclosure as it relates to the building industry stressing local issues that Ms. Mulligan has encountered. With New Jersey set as the state with highest rates of foreclosures in the country, the builders in attendance were particularly interested into how to buy REO (“Real Estate Owned”) and properties that are facing foreclosure or in foreclosure. AGA partner Rick Brodsky successfully obtained a use variance to allow a mixed commercial and residential use for a property in Sea Bright. Representing 280 Ocean Avenue LLC, Brodsky won Zoning Board approval for a banquet facility and new apartments on the site of the former Quay restaurant. Existing buildings on the site suffered significant damage in Superstorm Sandy and the site’s owner has been restoring and improving the residentially zoned property since acquiring it in 2011.
