The IRS, Department of Health and Human Services. and Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services have released final ruling on the Health Plan Price Transparency rules, which is an extension of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA). The rule is designed to provide data that would allow an accurate comparison of medical insurance plans across all reporting entities. The data will include medical plan costs, prescription costs, top 25 prescriptions by plan information and more. The effective date for compliance is July 1, 2022.
